Why you need to rethink your praise wall
Officevibe launched a new recognition feature, and you’ve seen nothing like it before.✨ Leaders worldwide have…
With September ushering in back-to-school vibes, it’s no surprise that we’re feeling inspired at Officevibe. With a spring in our step, we’re digging right into fresh and exciting projects for our community.
Last time we checked in, our Improve section had received a makeover to better help managers in their day-to-day work context and to engage their teams in the solution. Since then, the knowledge exchange about the modern workplace has continued.
First, with the arrival of our invaluable Guide For New Managers – and very soon, the second edition of our acclaimed CultureFest conference hosted in Montreal, based on hot topics surrounding the future of work.
This month, a few key product enhancements are worth your attention. Grab your hot beverage of choice, check ‘em out below, and leave us a comment if you have any thoughts to share!
What’s new on Officevibe in September:
We said it was coming and it’s finally here – our Industry Benchmarks Report!
After closely studying and researching over 400 industries listed by reputable publications, our analysts agreed on 19 key industries to best serve your benchmarking needs. The result? A drilled-down and highly accurate industry list to help you more effectively classify your organization and get the most out of your Industry Benchmarks Report.
Industry Benchmarks equip you with powerful data about your organization’s performance in relation to others within your industry, based on Officevibe’s 10 key Metrics of employee engagement.
Industry Benchmarks also allow you to:
But wait! There’s more.
Built with flexibility in mind, our Industry Benchmarks Report does not limit managers to comparing themselves to their industry alone. “Are there really any similarities between the Entertainment and Information Technology industries?”, you ask. Well, you may be surprised…
It’s simple: the modern workplace comes with an increasing concern for employee engagement, shared by many organizations across all industries. It was therefore important to us that managers be able to compare themselves to all industries.
Ready to benchmark? Note that this feature will be rolled out progressively for our clients in the coming weeks. Before you get started, we recommend speaking to your Company Admin to make sure that your industry has been set on Officevibe.
If along the way you need a helping hand or you’d like to find out how to use this Report, our supporting documentation has your back… and so does our Success Team.
Psst! That’s Alexandre Michaud, Engagement Specialist, and Stephanie Leblanc, Director of Customer Experience at Officevibe.
Want the low-down in the quickest way possible? Check out this short capsule from our Culture & Engagement Expert, Julie, detailing what you need to know about these changes:
Once upon a time we ended our weekly Surveys with a short and sweet exit screen that allowed users to complete a few basic, yet important, actions.
Although this exit screen allowed employees to leave additional feedback and change their Survey settings (date, time, method of communication), we felt that something was missing.
Through our research with members of our community, it was clear that users wanted to be able to contribute more precise feedback on topics that touch them directly at a specific point in time – beyond the weekly Survey.
As a result, we decided to spice up our Survey exit screen and transform it into a more engaging experience for employees.
With the arrival of this new exit screen, employees can now answer questions on topics that are relevant to them within their current context. When you think about it, if an individual answers questions based on a self-chosen topic of interest, they are more likely to provide authentic feedback and up-to-date information regarding their current reality in the workplace. It’s a win-win!
Here’s what it looks like:
In addition to the freedom this affords employees, there are important benefits for managers. For one, this feature will allow managers to obtain feedback that may be more context-specific and constructive in nature.
This will also allow managers to get the most up-to-date data for topics of interest. For example, a manager may wish to ask their team to complete a set of questions for a specific topic following their weekly Survey. The result? Refreshed data and feedback that may be used for team meetings, retrospective meetings, 1on1s, and more!
Additionally, with scores for Metrics and Sub-metrics now being calculated over 90 days, as opposed to 30, a tool such as this will also help managers obtain fresh data faster.
For more information on this and what you can expect, be sure to check out our special article about the Survey exit screen in the Help Center. Note that this feature will also be rolled out progressively for our clients in the coming weeks.
Not too long ago, our entire employee-facing experience was launched in Spanish. Beyond simply offering additional languages, we wanted Officevibe to become a place where all employees can voice what matters most to them in the language they feel most comfortable.
Keeping this in mind, we heard your feedback and we’re now offering the entire employee-facing experience in Portuguese. If you would like to give it a try, be sure to set your preferred language in your account as follows:
As our quest for accessibility continues, you can expect to see German make its debut in Officevibe before the end of the year. Excited? Us too!
This past July we announced changes to the way we calculate scores for Metrics and Sub-metrics, to offer managers the most accurate and representative data about their team’s engagement.
This change, from calculating scores over 30 days to calculating them over 90 days, came with a bit of a whirlwind.
Julie Jeannotte, Culture & Engagement Expert at Officevibe, had a few things to say about these calculation changes:
